Subject: Career Openings at Cincinnati Sports Club
Date: November 27, 2018 at 10:06:20 AM EST

In 2018, we added two significant projects that could impact your current and past students.

The first was the expansion of our Personal Training Internship Program.  Not only are our internships paid, but we have increased the "hands on" emphasis while working around students flexible schedules.

Secondly, we expanded our new trainer onboarding best practices with an even greater commitment to build new trainers books to become full time as quickly as possible.  Both projects have gone extremely well and have seen amazing results including making 2018 our Best Personal Training Year in History.

I am currently looking to hire both full time trainers AND interns.  We are always looking for talented young trainers and have a proven career path for them to follow.  Developing quality college graduates has been a very successful pathway for our program.

Here are a few facts about our personal trainers:

  • One of the few private training facilities in the country that has a physical therapist on staff who performs screenings, therapy and personal training
  • CSC trainers are eligible for a full benefits package including health insurance, vacation, 401K match, sick pay and continuing education.
  • All eighteen of the private trainers have college degrees and possess an industry accredited certification.
  • Our average trainer has over 6 years of training experience with over 125 hours of continuing education credits.
  • We are one of the few private training facilities in Greater Cincinnati that has an Athletic Trainer on staff.

Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing, LLC Internships Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing, LLC Internships

2018 FALL INTERNSHIP

August through December

Interviewing Soon!

If you have a passion for sports and entertainment, and have aspirations to one day work in this industry, then Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing, LLC. is the internship for you!

Burns works with the nation's largest PR Firms, Corporations, Ad Agencies, Colleges, and Associations helping them select and hire celebrities and athletes to bring their campaigns and events to life.

Burns is looking for exceptional students to intern in one of our four company divisions:

AD, PR, Business Development/Social Media and Business Development/Agency Relations

Interns receive hands-on training covering contracts, research methods, use of the database, as well as general office skills. Interns assist Burns executives with all aspects of spokesperson and endorsement campaigns; speaking engagements and events; and business development initiatives. Interns participate in the creative side of the business by involvement in brainstorming sessions, researching celebrities and athletes for possible campaigns and events, and compiling full bios for client proposals. In addition, interns assist with event/campaign logistics and customer service tasks.

Working at Burns Entertainment exceeded my expectations. Diving into the entertainment industry, this internship gave me the opportunity to better understand the process of creating a successful celebrity/influencer campaign. The opportunities are only limited by your dedication and hard work. You won't fully appreciate the depth of the Burns experience until you witness your work come to life on both big and small screens. Learning about this exciting industry through the eyes of Burns' culture makes this an invaluable experience. -Alyssa Robin Fall 2017

While I had prior experience in the sports industry, this internship gave me a deeper look into the marketing aspect of it as well as valuable exposure into the entertainment industry. As a business development intern, I was able to receive hands-on experience with a variety of the research tools used when developing marketing plans. That being said, I often collaborated with other interns on projects, so I wasn't limited to any one particular role. I am appreciative of what I was able to learn and who I was able to work with throughout the internship. I would recommend this internship to other hard workers looking to gain valuable experience in the sports and entertainment industry. -Jeff Thomas Fall 2017

This is a full-time internship for school credit (unpaid) and located in the Chicago area.
Please send your resume and cover letter via e-mail to Janell.Santiago@BurnsEnt.com

Please check out the Burns website for additional information – www.BurnsEnt.com

From: Caleb Shank <cshank@cbscout.net>
Date: Mon, Jul 31, 2017 at 1:26 PM
Subject: Baseball Scouting Internship Opportunity
To:

Hello ,

My name is Caleb Shank and I am a rising Senior at York College of Pennsylvania. I am the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic supervisor for a startup baseball scouting company called Collegiate Baseball Scouting Network (CBBSN). Our goal is to provide more comprehensive information and maybe even find hidden gems for MLB teams.

One of the ways we are doing so is by providing work experience for students in the hopes that they can receive college credit for what they have learned over the duration of their internship. From now until December 1, we will be accepting applications for the following roles for both the Fall and Spring semesters: Scouting, Social Media/Marketing, Analytics, and Writing for our website, cbscout.net .

We are looking to expand by connecting with athletic departments and/or the sport management programs from schools across the nation.

After our first year we have scouts at over 35 schools and are continuing to expand. Your school is in my region and is a target of mine to expand to. I was wondering if you could connect me to someone at your institution whether in the athletic department or sports business of some sort to help advertise to prospective students. Even just a name/email of who to connect with on LinkedIn would be helpful. You may also forward this to the student body if you wish. If anyone is interested in learning more or applying have them contact myself Caleb Shank at cshank@cbscout.net. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you again,

Caleb Shank

Football Announcers for Talawanda Bantam Football games Football Announcers for Talawanda Bantam Football games

Hi,

I'm the secretary for the Talawanda Bantam Football Association, a nonprofit youth football and cheer league here in Oxford, and we are needing announcers for our home football games.  I didn't know if you have students who would be interested in volunteering for something like this or if you have certain requirements that are needed for volunteering or experience.

If you could get back to me if this is something you do I would appreciate it.  We do most of our games at the Talawanda High School, but we do have one at Yager Stadium this year as well.

Thanks again!

Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing Internship Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing Internship

2015 FALL INTERNSHIP
August through December
Interviewing Soon

If you have a passion for sports and entertainment, and have aspirations to one day work in this industry, then Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing is the internship for you!

Burns works with the nation's largest PR Firms, Corporations, Ad Agencies, Colleges and Associations helping them select and hire celebrities and athletes to bring their campaigns and events to life.

"Not only did I want to work hard for the people here at Burns, but I truly felt like my work and opinion were valued. The research and work that I had to do was important for all projects and I could see that my opinion was being utilized. I would be asked to research a specific group of celebrities and later on I would see the information used in presentations that would be sent to (potential) clients. This shows that the executives here have enough trust in me, as well as the other interns, to use our research for a possible business deal, which is extremely important to the development of the company."  -Corey Lasky Fall 2014

"My internship at Burns was the perfect introduction to the entertainment, sports, and music industries.  They have created an excellent program that allowed me to gain hands-on experience and be treated as an integral part of the team.  I was provided with many opportunities to grow and learn by actively participating in the daily activities of the company."  -Andy DiDonato Spring 2014

This is a full-time internship for school credit (unpaid) and located in the Chicago area.

Please send your resume and cover letter via e-mail to Janell.Santiago@BurnsEnt.com
